Our Build Process
Your 12-week journey from signed contract to first swim
WEEK-BY-WEEK BREAKDOWN
Six stages, twelve weeks, zero surprises
Site Assessment, Design & Council Submission
Free site visit with Mike, who inspects access, ground conditions, and the package fit. Within 7 days you receive a fully itemised quote covering pool, excavation, fencing, landscaping, electrical — every line. Once signed, we lodge the development application with your local council (BCC, Redland, Logan, Moreton Bay, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Scenic Rim).
Approval & Excavation
Most SEQ councils return approval within 10–15 business days. Site preparation: removal of obstacles, temporary safety fencing, dial-before-you-dig confirmation. Excavation crew arrives — typically 1–2 days for standard packages, longer for complex sites. Driveway and lawn protected throughout.
Steel Reinforcing & Engineer Sign-Off
The steel cage is built on-site to engineering specifications. An independent aquatic engineer inspects and signs off before any concrete is sprayed — our quality guarantee, not a council requirement. Plumbing rough-in: skimmer lines, return jets, drains, spa lines all installed pre-shell.
Shell Spray (Gunite Stage)
Concrete shell sprayed at 200mm minimum thickness using high-pressure pneumatic equipment for maximum density. The shell cures for 7–10 days under controlled conditions before any further work proceeds.
Tile, Coping & Equipment Installation
Coping laid and grouted. Waterline tile if specified. Zodiac/Waterco pump, glass media filter, salt chlorinator (if elected), LED lights connected. Skimmer quad-lid frame with tiled finish completed.
Pebble-Crete Interior Finish
Your selected interior finish (full Wahoo colour range available) is applied carefully — this is the surface you'll feel when swimming. Acid wash and clean-down prepares the shell for filling.
Filling, Commissioning & Handover
Pool filled over 24–48 hours. Travis (water chemistry expert) balances water, calibrates equipment, runs the first filtration cycle. A Queensland Pool Safety Inspector issues your safety certificate. Mike or Travis walks you through equipment, test kit, and maintenance routine — written documentation and warranty cards provided.
